About us

The designer behind FJORD is Suffía Nón and she designs all the Fjord products. The name FJORD originates from her hometown Fuglafjörður where Suffía was born and raised. 

FJORD started in september 2016 when Suffía for fun drew some birds, which she posted on her Facebook profil. This has since developed into several different products that are in high demand both in the Faroe Islands and abroad.

With Suffía’s idea to design cheerful items, which have inspiration from faroese culture and nature, FJORD has quickly become one of the islands’ most beloved design brands. Known for its nostalgic humour, whimsical animals, and affectionate nods to everyday island life, the brand has gathered a loyal local following as well as international interest, recently winning Brand of the Year.
