Föroyar mítt land (Faroe Islands – my Country).
This is the last line of the Faroese national anthem. It is believed that it was written on the 1st of Februay 1906 by Símun av Skarði (1872–1942). The melody was written in 1907 by violinist Petur Alberg (1885–1940). These northern gannets are wearing Faroese national dress.
